AT&T Corp. microwave sites

Updated: 07:05PM EST 06/19/2005

There are numerous sites that deal with specific aspects of AT&T's long lines network of microwave towers and cable stations throughout the country. However, the goal of this site is to cover the role of all of the AT&T sites in Virginia, and selected areas of North Carolina and Maryland. Be the site a lowly repeater or a mighty long distance pop I've attempted to atleast get the installation on 35mm film (and now digital raw). The biggest challenge is getting to these sitebefore they are dehorned and repainted in dull grey. Fortunately, many of the rural and more difficult to reach sites have been sold to AAA Tower who seems to be leaving them intact for now.

oops, the below still holds but the bulk of my original content was lost in a server crash. I have been reshooting and rescanning so expect losts of 404s for now.

Eventually this site will be expanded to include route maps and current/past occupant for each site, but for now I've just posted the pictures. Please note I know there are *many* more stations in North Carolina and Maryland, I just have not had a chance to track down information on the bulk of them. On the other hand I am confident in the completeness of the Virginia list. Questions, comments or corrections are welcome here.
