Baltimore, MD - Wilmington (Elsmere), DE POP to POP route

Comments:

Facilities are probably part of a great Washington, D.C. to Philadelphia fiber route. From Philadelphia the route probably forks (as it does heading south out of DC and into Virginia) towards New York. One route probably goes directly to New York City while another spur probably runs along the coast of New Jersey to interconnect to the trans-atlantic cable stations (particular the landing site for TAT-14 which is operated by Sprint).

There are no regenerators or Optical-Amplifiers listed as this route is difficult to trace between Baltimore and Delaware. In Baltimore, by the POP, Sprint fiber markers are visible but outside of Baltimore the exact path of the route is nebulous due to the glut of fiber from other carriers all using mutliple ROW paths (AT&T) or private ROW and a combination of CSX and AMTRAK trackage (AT&T and MCI). As such finding O-AMP sites is difficult.
