Comments:
Port Royal is a very rare find, as the office has never had any markings
(GTE or Verizon) and it is constructed from cinder blocks instead of red clay
bricks as is the normal for all telephone companies in Virginia. In fact this
office desperately needed a new paint job and generators back in July of 2001
when I first stumbled on to it. Due to the size and "radical" design this office
might actually be very new (mid-1970s) and built to relieve space congestion
at the Bowling Green central office when the
first cut overs to digital switching systems were undertaken.
RL0 is refrenced in GTE ACG Report #1 documentation but RS0 is used in NANPA documents. Both are included for completeness.
