Meet point for Sprint PCS is actually a Sprint long distance POP for access to the Culpeper LATA via Bell Atlantic's Fredericksburg tandem. It is interesting to note that the backhaul from this POP to its end destination (Richmond or Washington, D.C.) is provide by MCI. A CEV for the MCI equipment can be seen towards the back center of the site picture. Even more interesting is the ownership history of the MCI equipment. Power meter stickers show the site was originally owned by LightNET and then the original Wiltel before becoming and MCI facility through acquisition.
